From small wave fun boards to performance orientated boards Dave has the experience and skill to produce a board that will suit your individual needs.
Dave's reputation for producing boards that give you the confidence to tackle any waves is second to none.
The MacAttack allows you to have a blast when the waves aren’t quite cooking. With extra area through the whole board, it will carry through flat or dead sections of a wave with speed. The wing pulls the tail area in for back foot control, and the round tail adds to the feeling of control with looseness.
It has a moderate single to double concave and a medium constant rocker that’s not too flat. The MacAttack will still perform when the waves are good and you want to jam it in the pocket or punt.
On the MacAttack you’ll be frothing to get out there, regardless of the conditions.
The MacAttack retails from $975
I've been riding Dave's boards for over 25 years. Never had a dud.
My latest 5'9" x 20.5" x 2 11/16" x 35.56L MacAttack has been perfect at 1-2 ft Huzzas or 6 ft Lefties. It just makes surfing fun.

I’ve put plenty of love into the MacLovin’ design and it’s a great all round short board for surfers in the 65-85kg range.
It has a fairly deep single concave with a slight double inside the single concave that runs through the tail. The rocker is constant so is great for tight, in the pocket surfing, and punting if that’s your gig!
This design suits both rounded square tails and round pins. Jump on board, you’ll be lovin’ it!

Is your surfboard shaper in the line up with you? Well there is a very good chance that Dave Macaulay or Dmac can be in the future, especially if you're surfing across the Western Australia coastline from Margaret River to Gnaraloo. Make sure you say gday, because that's how the best surfer to shaper relationship kicks off, and Dmac will have your equipment dialed in from the start, and it only gets better.
Dmac will focus on making sure that your new Maclovin matches the exact feel you're looking for in a new surfboard. From the instant excitement once it's under your wing for the first time, you can feel the well balanced volume, the natural shape and outline that you're chasing, which only a custom surfboard can provide a surfer, then a few paddles later, you're flying all down the line.
I have thoroughly enjoyed riding Dmac's handcrafted shapes for nearly two decades across some of the best waves in the world including Cloudbreak & Restaurants Fiji, Gnaraloo & Red Bluff North West WA, Macaroni's and the Mentawai's / Indonesian Archipelago, Pasta Point & Sultans in the Maldives and the endless swells we enjoy all year round in South Western Australia. Its quite simple really, when your boards are shaped by a former World Tour competitor and number 2 in the world, Former World Masters Champion, and one of the best surfers on the planet for the ripe old age of 59, you'e on a winner.

When I was a grom Bruce Lee was The Man! Among other things he represents speed, precision and power – the way we all want to surf, right? The Bruce (also my middle name!) is designed with this is mind.
It has a single concave through the tail for plenty of speed and acceleration.
Designed for those who want to move some water with power, the Bruce has a moderate but constant rocker for ample projection off the bottom but still fits nicely in the pocket with precision.
The Bruce retails from $975
The best test of a surfboard is always how well it goes... Dave Macaulay is a former World Tour competitor and number 2 in the world, former World Masters Champion, and easily one of the best surfers out in the water on any given day at not only his homebred of Lefties, in Gracetown, but any serious wave along the WA coastline. His preferred blade of choice is the Bruce model.
If you are looking for speed, precision and power... The Bruce is for you!

Whether it’s Margs main break, solid Yals, Bears Bombie or an adventure to Gnaraloo, Indo or Hawaii, the MacDaddy will give you the hold, drive and paddle power you need when the waves get juicy!
The MacDaddy has a medium constant rocker with a mild single to double concave in a round pin for a great feeling of hold, drive, speed and carve-ability. She’s been thoroughly tested in the gurgling barrels and open faces of Tombies and Centres at Gnaraloo, as well as around Margaret River.
With some extra foam under your chest and a nose entry designed to let you in early, the MacDaddy will get you on, in and out with reliability! When things get serious, in MacDaddy we trust!
The MacDaddy retails from $1075.
Dave shaped us two new boards a 6’4” and 6’8” with increased volume for my age, ability and a sore shoulder. The boards have been scaled up from my previous DMAC surfboards... they paddle really well into the waves and perform as expected on the waves giving you confidence in your surfing, the boards are always finished with an exceptional glass job.
